Education is Different Here!

​Environmental and Spatial Technology (EAST) is a project based technology class at Eufaula High School, provided by Kiamichi Technology Center.  The EAST Initiative provides industry software to students.  The software includes ArchGIS, Design 123D, Blender, 3d Max, Maya, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Cloud and others.  The students spend time learning software of their choice.  After they have mastered the software or technology (go pros, video camera, 3d printer) they work on projects to help our school and our community.  Some of the projects include:  mapping our city cemetery by using ArcGis and the Collector app, mapping city fire hydrants for the firemen using Survey 123, floor plans for the chamber of commerce using AutoDesk Sketchup, and a weekly newscast using Final Cut Pro.  The students love it and it is truly amazing to see how much they can achieve learning new software and technology.
